An Outdoor KitchenThis semi in Sydney’s Inner West had a great outlook but the difficult-to-access backyard lawn was hard to maintain and the house was lacking a connection between the living areas and the yard below.
5to50 designed and created an entertainer’s dream in the backyard with a deck that was large enough for a dining area as well as a lounge area that overlooked a firepit. In addition, a gourmet barbecue was installed in a generous bench that also included a fridge and sink. To create a connection and access from the upstairs living areas, the old balcony was replaced with a glass balustrade to increase light and views and a spiral staircase was installed.
Internally, the owners requested a modern flueless fireplace that instantly added warmth, charm, seating and storage to the main living area.
